Case for Change
A European Healthcare Group realised the need and opportunity in building the leadership skills of its Finance organization. The role of the CFO and the Finance Function had undergone a profound transformation in recent years. Finance leaders needed to be more dynamic and able to translate intelligence into insights that guide operational decision making and strategic choices.
To transform finance leaders into value architects; catalysts for driving business transformation amidst change, able to use data to challenge the business and operating as strategic business partners with responsibility for driving company results.
We ran interviews with business leaders to understand the opportunities vs. performance. This informed the design of an experiential 2 day training to develop the 3 key elements of successful business partnership: Leadership Capabilities, Excellence in Finance and Managing Change. Absolute clarity of roles across the team were established with a cascade from mission to team and individual action plans to deliver results.
Capability to Deliver
We conducted a post course ‘After Action Review’ with the CFO and key participants to refine Action Plans and identify ongoing requirements such as a Functional Capability Plan & Finance Training Programme. The future training plan was then established for ongoing development of / excellence in the Group's Finance Capabilities.
Immediate business impact - specific projects defined to drive value of €15M to €20M incremental profit.
